Gemma Lux is coming to Cheeky Fitness!

Get a taste of the Lux life at Cheeky Fitness this March with international showgirl and pole dancer, Gemma Lux.

The Florida-based sexy star will be hosting two workshops: Learn to be a Rockstar Instructor, March 28th and Showgirly Swag Pole, March 29th at the CF studio. Gemma has been dazzling audiences all over the world with her exotic, “Classique Pole” performances and she’s coming to West Palm Beach so you can get some insider-tips from one of the best pole dancers in the industry.

When and how did you get introduced to pole dancing? I found pole dancing in 2012 after attending a competition called, “Miss Pole Champ USA.” A beautiful soul named Vayda Kiss inspired me to find a studio and start my own journey. After watching her perform I was enlightened. I didn’t realize pole was so acrobatic. Her physique was spot on and she looked like she had so much fun on stage. I was inspired. At the time, I was in the process of trying to break free from my corporate career in mortgage at USAA and transition into a different field. I knew I wanted to help people in a different, more healthy way.

What awards have you received during your pole dancing career? Pole Theater USA 2016 “Classique” Division, Finalist Thee Dollhouse Competition 2016, 2nd Place US Pole Dance Federation (USPDF) 2016 Pro Qualifier, 3rd Place US Pole Sports Federation (USPSF) 2016 Pole Art Division, Finalist USPDF Pro Championships 2017, “Miss Sexy” USPDF Pro Competition 2017, 3rd Place Why did you stop competing? After 2017 I decided to hang up my heels for a little while. I was no longer finding joy in competing and I also was dealing with injuries from competition training. Competition training is one of the hardest things to do, both mentally and physically. But I still loved performing and during the break from competing, I received an amazing opportunity to be a back-up dancer for Erasure’s, Andy Bell. I am one of his Fembots. I got to travel Europe last year for the concerts. It was amazing. It taught me you really have to follow your heart sometimes. What else are you up to now? I am in an all-girls Neo Burlesque troupe called, “Les Vixens.” I also perform with a burlesque troupe called, “Femme’s & Follies.” And I now have my own show called, “Lux Pole Cabaret!” But teaching is my passion. I love helping others to grow into their own journeys. I started instructing very quickly – 6 months into my own pole dance journey. I picked it up fairly easily due to my background in gymnastics and dance. I want others to feel the power of the pole. To me, pole dancing is magic and amazing for the body, mind and soul. Where have you taught? I was an instructor for Impulse Pole Dance studio for 7 years. That is where I first learned to pole dance. I am currently Cleo’s Rock N Pole Brand Ambassador and Lead Certification instructor. Cleo The Hurricane is truly one of the Pole Dance companies in our industry and I'm honored to be the lead instructor in teaching the programs. I am a firm believer in all things Cleo! What do you love most about teaching? I love when I see my students smashing their goals! Simply knowing I was a part of that makes my heart sing. It’s the best feeling. So, Cheeky girls, whether you’re out to make your spreadies more fluid, master sultry hair flicks, or take your high kicks to a new sensual level, Gemma can show you how!
